Cleve Ann Mack was born in Greenville, South Carolina on December 7th, 1937. She graduated from Sterling High School in 1955 and attended Columbia Hospital School of Nursing for the next three years. As an RN she worked at many hospitals, most favorably the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Hospital in New York City. One of her favorite memories was the bond she made with a young boy at the hospital after his surgery who exclaimed that she had saved his life. She has always held her faith very close to her heart since the age of eleven years old.
Her first vote in a presidential election was in 1961 for President John F. Kennedy. Though she’s traveled far and wide- even to the Vatican to meet the Pope- the highlight of her career came in 1974 when she was elected as National Junior Missionary Directress of the Fire Baptized Holy Church of the Americas, after being a founding member and chairperson. She attributes her love of nursing to her Aunt Ada and her spirit to her mother, Agnes, the two most important people in her life. At age 86, she’s currently the deaconess at Mt. Olive FBH Church and a dedicated community service member.
