A quick and easy way to verify that your journal is Peer Reviewed aka refereed is by using Ulrichsweb Global Serials Directory. Ulrichsweb is a database that provides information on all types of serials (journals, magazines, newspapers, etc.) By searching the name of your periodical (journal title) you should receive a list of journal titles including the title you typed in. Check the legend on the right side of the screen for the Refereed symbol (the little referees 
striped jersey).
