Advanced Research: Advanced Research

College-level research is not just about compiling and regurgitating information.  It is about investigating and finding answers to complex questions.  This process begins with a broad subject with general content, then the subject is refined down to a focused topic such as a specific issue, and then narrowed further until it is whittled down to a concise research question, thesis statement, or hypothesis.  The research ends with answers to your original question.
