Subject Databases for Communication and Journalism

Useful Tips

When searching for a person try putting their name in quotation marks "Eric Eisenberg"  if you are looking for articles they have authored you may need to search last name, first name "Mumby, Dennis".  Most databases offer authors as hot links to a direct author search, so if you find one article written by your scholar you can usually click on their name in the author area of the article to find others written by that same person.  Make sure the person you are reading about is the correct person there are two famous Brenda Allens.

This image shows with a simple key word search you can find your person as both a subject of an article and an authorimage showing Mumby as both a subject and an author
