Find Books and E-Books using SearchUP

During the summer of 2020, USC Upstate Library installed a new search tool.  SearchUp provides one-stop searching for books and e-books, journal articles, DVDs, and more.  The search box in this widget allows you to directly search for materials found in what was previously called the Library Catalog.


The video below provides a brief introduction on how to use the new SearchUP to find books and e-books in the USC Upstate library collection.  


Library of Congress Subject Heading

                                                                                          used in the library catalog, were designed to address the choices between variant spellings of the same idea (colour vs color), scientific and popular terms (Perplaneta American vs cockroaches) and synonyms (cars vs automobiles).  The best way to find specific Subject terms is by starting with a keyword search and use the results to find what controlled vocabulary the database uses for your topic,

The Library of Congress area for Multicultural education (general) is LC1099-1099.5 this is where you can browse the shelves for Multicultural Education books.  When searching the Library Catalog there are several subject headings listed below that you may find helpful.
