Laura,
Just a note of appreciation for all of the hard work you do when you present the library orientation to my English 101 and 102 classes. Not only is your presentation easy to follow and relevant to students because of real life examples you use, but you also give time for hands on practice for students to become familiar with websites they will need when doing their research. I think you are so successful because you have always asked me for the assignment ahead of time, and you do lots of preparation in order to become familiar with the topics. Your strongest asset is your wonderful sense of humor and the connection you make with my students. You are approachable, and all questions are answered honestly. My students are comfortable contacting you after the orientation, and you are always available to help them. As you know, I specifically request you every year because the quality of your work and your dedication to my students supersedes my experiences with any other librarian. You are the best! Thank you for helping my students be successful in my English classes and preparing them for the rest of their upper level college classes.
Sincerely,

Laura,
Thank you for teaching my ARTE 429 Elementary and Middle School Art Methods class about how to use the library guides for their future teaching and selecting books for arts integration lessons. You were able to clearly show how to navigate the library website to find specialized information to use in the ARTE 429 course as well as other art education classes. Your presentation was concise and clear.
I appreciate you taking the time and providing pertinent information to my students.
Best regards,
Mary Lou
Hi Laura!
Thanks again so much for taking the time to speak with my Senior Seminar students yesterday! You were so helpful, and I so appreciate your lending your expertise to us for the class period.
I'll make sure they complete the survey as well.
Thanks again!

Much of my teaching at USC Upstate was for the basic English 101 & 102 classes and as a group the librarians created several tools for student and faculty feedback. I helped create a LibWizard survey for student feedback (see link below). The Fall of 2018 has seen the library very short staffed and I am teaching new to me classes such as upper level Education classes, I have begun to create new feedback surveys for such library sessions hoping to learn more about my teaching.
