Browsing the Library

Like most academic libraries, the USC Upstate library's resources are arranged using the Library of Congress Classification. In this classification system, the first two letters of a resource's call number describe the subject. When searching for library materials related to religion, students can browse the B section, which includes works on philosophy, psychology, and religion. (You can see an example in the Oxford and reference resources to the right. Note the call numbers all begin with B.)

B Philosophy BC	Logic BD	Speculative Philosophy BF	Psychology BH	Aesthetics BJ	Ethics BL	Religions. Mythology. Rationalism. BM	Judaism BP	Islam. Bahaism. Theosophy, etc. BQ	Buddhism BR	Christianity BS	The Bible BT	Doctrinal Theology BV	Practical Theology BX	Christian Denominations
