Affordable Learning Upstate: Affordable and Open Educational Resources

Getting Started

Your first step to finding, using and even creating OER and other affordable materials is to submit an Affordable Learning/OER Interest form so that we can support you in this endeavor! Contact Dr. Toni DiMella to be added to our self-paced Getting Started with OER course.

PASCAL sponsors the Professor for Affordable Learning (PAL) Award that "recognizes faculty who have already integrated affordable learning into their classrooms. These affordable course materials could include Open Educational Resources (high-quality teaching materials that are free for people everywhere to use and re-purpose), items freely available on the internet, or library resources. If you’ve helped your students by adopting zero-cost course materials, we’d like to recognize and thank you! We invite you to apply for the Professor for Affordable Learning Award."
