QUICK TIP!...Subject encyclopedias and other reference books are good for background reading on a topic to find out what the general consensus is and what research questions might be viable.
This Library Guide is intended to help you find the best sources for your research. The Books and Media and Article Indexes and Databases tabs are organized to show you how to develop a search strategy using various library and Internet resources. The Scholarly Articles tab reviews the characteristics of scholarly articles. The Communication and Journalism Journals tab provides a list of core journals in these fields that we have in print or full-text access online. As questions arise, don't hesitate to contact me or use our Ask-a-Librarian service.
